The women of the Middle ages were thought of as the weaker gender by the church. They were thought of as the weaker gender because in the story of Adam and Eve, Eve took the fruit from the tree of Good and Evil which God told them not to do. Women tried to be humble by wearing the plainest of outfits. They normally wore brown or gray dresses. The women worked all day. They either were cooking, washing clothes, collecting water, etc.
